This is the second year that I will be attending the Hawaii Tax Institute. It is a great way to get to know your fellow Hawaii tax practitioners and learn something new about tax, fiduciary, insurance, non-profit, and financial related issues. The lunch sessions will feature U.S. Tax Court Judge David Laro, USC Gould School of Law Professor Ed. McCaffery, Hawaii Director of Taxation Fred Pablo, and Kenneth Hines of the IRS Criminal Investigations Division.
